We’re something of a household name in Onga, Malawi, where we sponsor over 60 children and their families through World Vision. Onga was recently visited by Annie, who met her sponsor children and saw firsthand the sustainable transformation that has occurred in health, education and agriculture.
Through our World Vision child sponsorship, we were lucky enough to have a visit from the Chief of Onga himself. He shared his story with us, and to say he was inspiring is an understatement; we were humbled by his visit, and couldn’t be more proud to be involved in realising change for his village.
Even as a child Anna knew she was different; teachers referred to her as “disruptive". It wasn’t until she was diagnosed with ADHD that it all made sense. Now she’s commited to helping others as a mentor in Great Potentials’ MATES Junior programme, an initiative the Young Hearts Project helps fund.
Not all students learn the same way. For those like Angelee, Youthline’s Alternative Education School provided another option, and she went from strength to strength. Youthline provide support for young people in need; we’re proud to sponsor them with our charity initiative the Young Hearts Project.
