We asked some of the Merchant 1948 team what they're loving from our summer collection.
Our Deuce Sneakers brand is one that believes in supporting and giving back to our local community, so from every pair of full-price Deuce sneakers sold, $5 goes towards The Young Hearts Project. Through the work of the Young Hearts Project, we support organisations and charities that do great things for kiwis, helping, shaping and positively changing the lives of others. One of those charities is the MATES organisation, which is a programme that mentors youth within New Zealand.
There’s more than meets the eye to our sneaker brand, Deuce, as with it, looking good and feeling good play hand in hand too. Through Deuce’s involvement with The Young Hearts Project, a charity designed to mentor, help and change the lives of Aotearoa’s youth, we’ve seen the lives of many Kiwi’s changed; not only those on the receiving end, but those giving.
To celebrate the launch of our Storm x Deuce collaboration, we hosted a VIP event in our Deuce Newmarket store! The anticipated collection is available right now online and in selected stores.
We teamed up with our friends at Storm to create an exclusive collaboration of three fresh, fashion-forward sneakers. Both New Zealand owned and operated brands, it was a natural fit to combine Storm's modern aesthetic with Deuce's superior comfort and design.

Earlier this year, The Young Hearts Project and the Graeme Dingle Foundation teamed up to help supply sneakers for deserving Auckland based teachers. We're proud to support the Graeme Dingle Foundation and their Kiwi Can programme to provide opportunities for young people and those who guide them. We caught up with four Kiwi Can teachers to discuss what the programme means to them, the challenges that young people face in NZ, and how Kiwi Can lessons are truly changing the heart of our community.
