Deuce Custom Kicks: Winning Designs Out Now
Earlier this year we hosted a Custom Kicks competition, asking Kiwis and Australians like yourself to dream up a canvas sneaker that encompasses the meaning of summer.
The winning design by Georgia Volakakis, as well as the runner up design by Jane Flaunty, are both now available to shop online and in store. But be quick, they're limited edition.
Our talented young winner is currently a Year 11 at High School, with a passion for design. Her custom sneaker was inspired by the idea of the sun and warmth, and the 2021 Olympics. The sunflower features in the Olympic bouquet and is a symbol of hope.
Hands on designer and mum, Jane is a trained textile designer who loves the simplicity of hand drawing her work. Her custom sneaker was inspired by her love for Peonies and her summer wedding of 2018, the rustic dried florals of her wedding bouquet had an influencer in her design.
With a degree in Psychology and a passion for art, Jessie explores the interconnectedness of life through her work. Inspired by a summer trip across New Zealand, Jessie's custom sneaker features the dolphins she found on her travels to the Milford sounds. Please note: Jessie's sneaker is not available for purchase.
