Leather
A premium full-grain leather with a uniform finish, natural water resistance and excellent long-term wear performance. Its balance of flexibility and strength makes it an ideal choice for crafting versatile, everyday footwear that can hold up across a range of environments.
CARE
CARE
- For nubuck or suede, brush gently with a soft suede brush after wear to remove surface dust and restore the natural texture. For smooth leather, wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
- Apply a protector specifically designed for the material before first wear and periodically thereafter. Always test any care product on a discreet area first.
- Avoid heavy rain and prolonged exposure to water. If the shoes become wet, blot away excess moisture and allow them to dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Use cedar shoe trees between wears to absorb moisture, maintain the shape of the shoe and support the leather insole.
- Allow the shoes to rest for at least 24 hours between wears so the leather and cork footbed can fully dry and recover.
- Clean the rubber outsole with a lightly dampened cloth, taking care not to saturate the leather or Goodyear welt.
- Wipe antique brass hardware with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners and metal polishes.
- Do not apply standard leather creams, waxes or oils to nubuck or suede, as they may darken the material and flatten its texture. For smooth leather, apply a suitable leather conditioner sparingly when required.
- When the outsole eventually wears down, have the shoes professionally resoled to preserve their structure and extend their life.
